My Hmong Family

A family-led space sharing authentic Hmong art, design, and cultural information.

About us

Inspired by two sisters, this site presents original paintings, embroidered textile pieces, and cultural perepctives that reflect both heritage and contemporary life. Each work is made by hand, grounded in real experience, and shared with care and respect.

The primary creative contributors to My Hmong Family are Ja Mooie (Nui) and her younger sister Xee Chang (Minli).

Nui works in traditional Hmong embroidery and textile design, creating detailed pieces that draw on established patterns and techniques.

Minli is a painter whose work explores identity, emotion, and everyday life, shaped by both Hmong heritage and personal perspective.
